ClearRecord Pro – Noise free voice recorder App Reviews

I exported the recorded m4a files to dropbox and tried to import it to itunes but itunes is not recognising the m4a file (VLC did though). The ANR setting seems to be too strong. I don’t recommend this app.

Ive tried this app multiple times over several days - IT HAS NOT RECORDED A SINGLE WORD YET! I hit the record button and it says it is recording, but the clock never ticks, and when I hit stop Im told the recording is too short and will be deleted. I emailed the company days ago and have gotten no response. Dont waste your money. iPhone 5s

If NR is important this is the app. The NR works great removes all the hiss and clutter noise from the recording. Would have given it a 5 if it would have been also a full iPad app. Works great with my bluetooth speaker. Other more expensive apps dont.

Speed control doesnt work at iOS8

I give the app 5 stars for several reasons that distinguish it from competitors. 1. Variable speed playback. 2. Track repeat...listen over and over again! 3. Great sound quality.

I was happy until I did the ios8 update. Now choosing a speed is. Not an option. That was the most important part for me!

I used to use this app for recording rehearsals, notes to myself and others, etc. I never had any problems. Now no one can open the files. So its useless.

Instead of just sending the m4a or wav file, why must a zip file with extra data be created, that must now be downloaded and unzipped before you can access the voice file? Most inconvenient. Fix it.

I just wanted my files to be named with date and time, but they cant seem to manage that. PINK! Ugh.

I really like this app for memorizing monologues. One of the reasons this voice recorder was better than the others was its ability to play on loop, with or without the app being open. Please do an update where I can play on loop, even when Im in another app or the phone goes into sleep mode.

This app usually stops when I playback. In addition playback often stocks on its own accord. This means that I have to download the file to my mac in order to hear. The rename feature has regressed. Now it does not allow spaces or dashes in the name. This produces often meaningless names. The prior release was much more tolerant. The addition of the M4 files is a plus. I would give the user the option to save the text data in a zip file or just send the M4 to the PC or Mac. The colors option seems to disappear the next time the app is used. All in all, it appears the developers have released software that was not very well tested. This is a shame as it was a good product, but now appears to be produced by amateurs.

Before update, everything is perfect. Update suppose to be good but after update, i think i made wrong decision to pay for this app. Please fix!!

I have installed this update on both an iPhone 6+ with the latest iOS version and on iPhone 5s on one of the versions of iOS 7; the former I use as my primary ClearRecord device. This newest version of ClearRecord on my iPhone 6+ with the latest iOS basically tried to initially work with my whole existing recordings, but crashed after that and cannot start without crashing. In short - unusable On my iPhone 5s with iOS 7 it is usable but I have the same "issues" with the functionality of the new version as all of the other people who wrote reviews for it, e.g. 1) losing ability for spaces and other characters, etc. in the file names; 2) not being able to continue playing the recordings while the app is in the background; 3) forcing users without an option to send all files in compressed .zip format.

The update does not work on my iPod g4. I cannot make new recordings or access my old ones. And it seems I cannot reinstall the old version without losing the recordings that I can no longer access. If you upgrade, be sure that you have copies stored elsewhere (outside of the app) before installing! I am very angry with this company right now. (And with myself, for assuming this upgrade would go as smoothly as the others.)

I have used this app for months before the latest upgrade. The issue I have run into is some recordings do not playback. An error message pops up stating can not playback files unless they are Acc or Wav. Waiting for an explanation or fix from developers.

For lectures or live music performances, this app has been nearly flawless. Impressive clarity given this is on a phone.
