Crashes and I have (apparently) lost my recordings

The update does not work on my iPod g4. I cannot make new recordings or access my old ones. And it seems I cannot reinstall the old version without losing the recordings that I can no longer access. If you upgrade, be sure that you have copies stored elsewhere (outside of the app) before installing! I am very angry with this company right now. (And with myself, for assuming this upgrade would go as smoothly as the others.)
